Any one else get "déjà vu"s?

Any one else get "déjà vu"s?

Postby Hamano-chan on Tue Aug 07, 2007 5:48 pm

I just got a déjà vu... They're bloody weird at times o.o I just read Luna's topic about G-Rev, the post starting with "I wonder what happened with Jetix?" and BANG I got the feeling "Hey... I've read this post before". And that would be impossible, because Luna just posted it...

I get quite a lot of these déjà vus... Not every week, though, once or twice a month or so. (It feels like I get a lot of them even though the number isn't that big.)

Has any one else had déjà vus? *curious*

Deja vu is actually a known occurence in psychological studies. A lot of people experience them and there really is no explanation as to why. It seems to be closely related to out-of-body experiences, though I've never really had one of those as far as I know

^^; sorry if my post did damage to your brain or something...

I've gotten Deja-vu before, at the most random times, too. It left me completely confused for a few minutes, and the rest of the day I spent trying to figure out where I saw a certain place before (I had passed a certain spot, and got a flash of it as if I saw it somewhere else).

Out-of-body experiences, huh... Feels a bit creepy but cool at the same time, to think about being outside my body... Cos I know I've dreamed of those things I've got a déjà vu about... Or, I don't know for certain, but I have the feeling that I have ^^; I've had those at least since the 3rd grade... And I'm going to high school (starting soon [on the next Monday] damn it ._. *wants more holiday time*)

And Luna no worries, you did no damage to me ^^ (I think o.o can a brain get damaged from experiencing a déjà vu? o.O) Anyways, to me it's normal to get those, so I'm used to the weird feeling :3

Out-of-body experiences seem almost spiritual. There is a case of a woman who was under scientific observation while she was sleeping. She was told to read a piece of paper left on a high shelf if she happened to have an out-of-body experience. One night, while sleeping, she did and when she woke up in the morning she was able to tell everyone what had been on the piece of paper.

Well I know more about out-of-body experience than deja vu, though I've had quite a few deja-vu moments. People think deja-vu is related to out-of-body experiences because deja-vu's, in a way, let us see the future. That's the only way I can describe it, really. When we have a deja-vu moment we feel like we're seeing something we've seen before, though we know it has never existed to us until that moment. It's like, when we slept, our spirit traveled a small way into the future.

I do like those things too :3 I'll have three psychology classes during the next school year. Guess why my mom's going mad with me cos I want to record every episode of the X-Files that are airing here... (they air it twice a week, so after a while you notice it's quite much..)

Yeah, Psych is probably one of the most interesting classes that I've taken. I really like all that stuff, too!

When I get the chance, should I take one of those classes? It all seems very interesting.

Definitely take a psychology class, especially abnormal psychology, which deals with all the mental disorders. Very fun :D
