Beyblade Season 4 Confirmed! Head explody?

Postby Flyinglilypad on Sun Apr 13, 2008 12:08 am

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... his-summer

The April 8 issue of the Nihon Keizai (Nikkei) Shimbun paper reports that Takara-Tomy is reviving the Beyblade spinning-top game franchise after a four-year hiatus this August, and will sponsor a new accompanying Beyblade anime this summer. Takara-Tomy is aiming for 20 billion yen (about US$200 million) in yearly revenue by next year, and will improve the new tops by making them out of metal instead of plastic.

Takara-Tomy launched the game franchise in 1999, and sponsored three anime series between 2001 and 2003: Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, Bakuten Shoot Beyblade 2002 (Beyblade V-Force), and Bakuten Shoot Beyblade G-Revolution. Nelvana (Bakugan, Medabots) released all three in the United States, with the last new episode airing in 2005. Viz Media released Takao Aoki's manga spinoff, although a new manga series has yet to be announced.

Oh yeaaaaah! This is just what us fans need! So how is everyone holding out? I was running around like a maniac.

I guess we'll need a new subforum on teh Seasons part of the board. I hope it isn't a remake with new characters. Anybody got any more info?

I wonder if the anime will be released simultaneously in Japan and Finland and the U.S, or if Japan will get it and then we'll license it a year or so later?

*prays for simultaneous release* XDDDD

The fandom needed a new season soooo bad. Everybody was abandoning ship on the Beyblade boat. Now everyone will fall in love all over again with it <3 especially since they didn't even finish the 3rd season here.

Hell yeah? I'll second that. HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!111111

I highly doubt that will happen... at least in Finland won't be airing at the same time =/ they need to buy licences and wait for the English version to be ready and then sub/dub it first AND air G-Revolution here so it'll take at least three years until it gets here... (It is possible that they'll show it with Japanese voice-cast, but they'll show the English version of it if cuts are made to the new season...) :(

But anyways, I'm going to try to find it from the net x3 ...and I need to watch G-Rev completely before that! o_o

I was bouncing from excitement moments earlier and spread the wonderul news to everybody who've seen Beyblade even the slightest bit and liked it, but now I'm starting to wonder if the unofficial manga kids of the original characters will be starring it... And I DO NOT want that D< I hope they will have the original teams in it again <3

Ohhh I will be so pissed if the anime isn't a continuation of Season 3.

As for the manga kids, they need to be taken out and shot. Then shot some more and thrown in the ocean. :D If they're in the anime...oh no. It does not even bear thinking.

Those are SO my thoughts... I don't want them to become 'official' ._. Though some of my friends are 90% positive the series will be about them...

I agree with you, Blitzer. If beyblade isn't a continuation of the third season, then it would be JUST like any other show that tries to do crappy spinoffs of their own, better, original show..example being Yu Gi Oh, I think dragon ball z did it too, but like, all my childhood shows came up with new spinoffs that aren't very good :?

Oh yeah...i hate spinoffs. It just makes the ending more crappy and out of line for me. Oh yeah, Yu-gi-oh being the best example and the Dragon Ball series. *Sigh* I think i like Voltaire to come out again..He just strikes as the perfect villain next to the Purple Tori-Atama

I don't know about that. I mean, Yugioh was really good, and the spin-offs weren't that bad. I mean, they weren't as good as the original maybe, but they didn't pure out and out suck.

But yeah spin-offs without the original cast suck compared to a continuation of the series.

I never really watched much of YGO, but from what I read/heard, they even gave the old characters like, 2 min screentime in the entiiire series? oi oi, that better not be something to happen in beyblade, it bettter not be.
