Bryan's my second favorite beyblade guy, but I find his following isn't much. Unles he's with Tala or Rei.

So My thread to Bryan.

I'm seriously the only one out of my group of friends who adores Bryan. =\

No anime guy, who I've grown an obsessive liking for, ever feels unloved *evil menacing laugh*

Bryan is my fave character really. I mean, I adore Tala, but there is just something about Bryan that I... love?

I'm his rabid fangirl, it is better than a rabid squirrel, almost!

You gotta be kidding me. you saying there are no other people obsessed with Bryan? Try again! I am forever and ever grateful for my friend McGoth to really introduce the Russian team to me (though I knew how they looked like before I met McGoth, since I was reading fanfictions and through them I met the said person).

Bryan, Tala and Ray (and Kai) are also the ones who I mostly write into my fics (and guess what? The Russians can be a pain in the ass to write IC -.-" but I still love them ^^ <3). There is no end to my love for Bryan. He's just adorable~ *dodges knives thrown by the said Russian*

I suppose I should revise my opening statment. When I started likin him I coul find nothing on him. It was really sad. Msot of what I found was him and Tala, or him and Spencer So I was a bit annoyed. I have found a few now, but at first it was a very sad.

But also, in comparrision to say, Kai, or Tala, or Tyson, he doesn't have as many fans.

Besides that if he were real he'd probably be unloved.

When I first saw Bryan, or more like, got to know of his existance in the show... I hated him xD

Ah, I was so sweet and innocent back then.

Then I read a lot of fanfictions, where Bryan did show up, and slowly I grew an interest for the guy. He is one of those characters that people give TOTALLY different personalities to in stories, so I kinda had to build my own, putting together pieces from the show, manga, official descriptions, zodiac signs (according to this site, me and Bryan share the same zodiac sign, so that has made it a lot easier for me to clue a personality for him xD ) and occasional GOOD fics.

You'd be surprised over how popular he really is, you just gotta know just where to look. On livejournal in several beyblade communities, I've ran into a whole lot of his fans. In RP communities, those I've joined, he is one of the peoples favourites to have their characters interact with.
Also, a lot of the japanese fanart sites have looots of Bryan fanart on them, I think there are a few that are almost totally dedicated to him even.

Mm maybe I should post some of my.. Bryan musings on this forum at some point. I like to write general facts and thoughts from his p.o.v, it is a great way to waste homework time. Can't guarantee that you'll like his personality though, some prefer Bryan as a homicidal maniac, some prefer him as a dirty old pervert... I prefer him as a cranky, totally confidence lacking, mentally scarred man with troubles to trust people ; D Hamano-chan knows, she's read them, or most of them anyways : P

Ah well, lessons starting, gotta run. Oh geography with maps and diagrams.. SOMEONE KILL ME.

Yes, I agree with McGoth, peoples opinion of what IC for Bryan is diffrences alot and I think it's a good thing. I tend to read work that doesn't agree with my own opinion just to question myself. Sometimes I end up liking the fics anyway, just because the writer is good enough to sell her/his opinion to me. Since it's fan-works I can't say that one thing is right or wrong, just that somethings I like and some I don't.

Anyway, someone that REALLY needs more love is Ian! That reminds me that I still have a Ian fic to write *headdesks*

I'm still trying to figure out why the Swedish dub uses Tala, Bryan, Spencer and then... IVAN! Why use some Am names and then one Jap? Meh, I've said it before and I say it again, the Swedish translations makes me cry

I havet he best Jap-fan-site, but most of the picture are very explict. Those that aren't are so cute though, and you an tell which is which by the coloring. I have a friend who doesn't even like beyblade andI got her hooked because of taht website an a few fanfics.

But I think of him as very physical, surper smart, and stubborn. He'd probably soon as rip your tounge out then say hello to you. And I Think he probably wouldn't like most girls becuse they aren't strong enough. Not that he'd have to be gay, but he'd probably only go for like a girl who does Judo or something very physical like that.

In RPs (With only very close friends) I had him with a character that was very much like the description I posted before. It ended up not working cause they were just much alike.

No, he's handsome. He's good lookin like a normal guy (Not an nime guy) should be. But I think some fan girls don't like him cause he's not as cute as Tala -.-

Well that is a true statement, he really isn't a real looker at first glance. There are a whole lot other chars (Tala, Rei, Kai etc..) that you can like, see once, and go WHOA. My obsession for Tala started like that ^w^

Bryan is... more of a rugged guy type. He isn't the type to spend hours to get his hair right, or put on eyeliner (*cough*Tala*cough*) or that stuff. He is more realistic than the others, that is true. At least when you look at his facial structure and his hairstyle.

What I really can't understand though, is what they really want him to be. In the first season he is short, skinny and plain mean looking with that snarky line forming right over his nose every time he snarls. He's often showing off his teeth like a pissed off animal, and his eyes narrow down to slits.
In the third season he has got two looks. 1) Huge devious guy with a broad grin plastered on his face. 2) Wide-eyed, confusedly innocent boy stuck in a man's body.

I mean wtf -_- and his japanese voice doesn't make the whole thing any better.

This...confusion is insane. I just put it on my "Depressive drugs" theory most often, which means he's on massive amounts of happy-pills all through G-revs. Works fine, at least it explains why he at times acts like the Russian version of Max. Like in that chibi pic of Blitzkrieg boys.

Poor poor confused Bryan. I wonder if gender coonfusion got in somewhere halfways through his character creation; he's got girlyer hips than most of the girls in the show.
Not that I complain, I like guys with cute hips ; D *toddles off to draw Bryan in more ribboned, frilly dresses, stockings and suspenders*

LOL I agree with McGoth. I assume in the first season that is more of how Bryan really is. He was just raised in terrible situations and by a very strange and frightening man like Boris, so of course Bryan isn't going to turn out to be a nice person. And I'm sure, growing up like that, he (and the other people from that place) has a mass amount of mental trauma and psychological disorders.

In the third season it seemed like he had been put on heavy doses of Prozac or something. And maybe he had gotten help for all that mental anguish. I mean, those people would have to. There's no way you can come out of that and still be sane.

Can you imagine how he would have grown up in a real home? He might actually be clean and neat and well-mannered XD Scary

Scary... but freakin' HOT! Well, I think he is hot even now... But, if he'd act like then... I don't know, I'm having a hard time imagining him like that o_o;; *so used to the usual Bryan)

But yes, I completely agree about the differences in his character. Once - no, twice - McGoth made me listen to a voice clip of Bryan's Japanese voice actor. Guess if I'll ever be watching the series with the original voice actors anymore? (And I have the same opinion as McGoth about Bryan's hips....... )

I agree! He seemed so calm, as opposed to season 1. But still Bryan...and I don't think team Neo Borg got enough screen time!
