All stuff related to season one specifically

It's been a while.
Back to Voltaire, the thread title is his name after all!

Voltaire's fashion sense: vampire.
I need to keep on collecting the manga, I only have 1-3. *sigh*
Euphoria... I can't take anymore of it!

...vampire? =/

Uh...if I recall correctly, in the manga, Soichirou/Voltaire wears your typical Japanese matriarch outfit i.e. hakama, short kimono (y'know, like that thing Kenshin wears?), and a dark coat.

His outfit in the anime, however... I'm thinking no sense! It makes him look pretty stupid, now that I look at it again; back when Beyblade first aired here, I thought it was a little intimidating. =P

But here's food for thought: what if there was an illustration - a single panel in an entire manga volume, for instance - where Voltaire was in a button-down shirt, pressed pants...and sneakers?

xD I'm sorry; its just that... well, I've several pics of my grandfather, and he could pass for a real-life Voltaire (with less sneering/leering/smirking). And he happened to be wearing that outfit in one pic. Lolo, ano 'ba (Grandpa, what is with you)?!

...damn... now I've the urge to draw that... xD

You are correct!
In the manga he wears traditional Japanese attire, I guess to get the feel of the Russian side of him they put him in a giant, dark mansion in a long cloak.
It works for him, because he is scary.
